This is an affordable choice for buyers who want low maintenance
living close to downtown Ithaca and Cornell University. Commonland
Community was established in the 1980's as a green building community
- the units are super insulated in an attached condo/townhouse
style. No basements - there are either crawl spaces under two
story units or slab flooring in the split level style.
This one bedroom with loft style is the smallest but most
affordable in the community. The monthly association fee ($200
per month) covers lawn care, snow removal, trash removal, water
and sewer and exterior maintenance. This unit has a carport with
storage area which is $100 per year, payable on January 1st of
every year.
There is natural gas available (this particular unit has electric
heat, as many still do). The utilities are low despite having
electric heat. There is a living room and small
kitchen
with pantry closet on the main floor. Upstairs there is an open
loft, full bath and master bedroom with walk-in closet.
Located just outside the City of Ithaca -this is on the TCAT
busline and biking distance to Cornell University. Surrounded
by the natural beauty of Six Mile Creek Reservoir, this location
is ideal for nature lovers, hikers, and birdwatchers. Lots of
deer and rabbits abound, but there is a patio for plantings and
a window box outside the living room for gardeners.
