CJ's Educational Background:
CJ has lived in Ithaca since 1984. She grew up on the water, hailing from Sodus Bay, NY - just a short 90 minute drive north of Ithaca. She originally came to Ithaca to study at Cornell University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Natural Resources in 1988. Having developed an interest in the live theatre in college, she moved to Ogunquit, Maine, after graduation where she worked as Assistant Treasurer of the famous Ogunquit Playhouse.
In
1989 CJ
returned to Ithaca to work in the Marketing department at the Ithaca
College Department of Theatre Arts, where
she worked for
five years. While working at Ithaca College full-time, CJ
earned a
Master
of Science degree in the area of Corporate Communications from
the Roy
H. Park School of Communications.
CJ then moved to
Buffalo in 1993 where she worked at Studio Arena Theatre as Marketing
Manager for the 1993-1994 season. But Ithaca was calling CJ back to
Ithaca where she returned in the summer of 1994, where CJ's
career
in real estate started. She was hired as General Manager of Housing Solutions
- Ithaca's
largest apartment referral service. In June of 1996, CJ obtained her
real estate license as a licensed salesperson and has enjoyed a
successful career helping buyers and sellers with their real estate
needs.
CJ's background in marketing, sales & management is a huge bonus for both buyers and sellers. She offers a creative edge in marketing homes for sale both in print and Internet media. CJ uses her experience in the market to help sellers pinpoint a realistic asking price which enables her to get homes sold quickly. For buyers, CJ provides a solid resource every step of the way, especially with first-time buyers. Through each client, CJ has gained increasing knowledge and expertise.
CJ believes strongly that her success is due to a commitment to excellence in client relations and continuing education in the field of real estate. She earned specialized training as a Certified Buyer Representative® in 1998. In 2000, CJ earned her Associate Broker license. In 2008, CJ earned the Graduate, REALTORS Institute® designation (GRI) which is granted upon completing 90 hours of education in the areas of marketing, technolog, investment properties, real estate law and environmental issues.
